Therefore for Kencyr priests the Kencyrath's harsh honor code is, with contempt, relaxed. All priests must be Shanir, thereby, at least part Highborn. Since the Fall, making Shanir join the pristhood has become a way to handle and get rid of Shanir. Before the Fall the priesthood was an honorable calling, however when the Hierarch attemped to claim that the priesthood should rule as the Fall proved the Lords unworthy, the God's Voice used him to condemn him, after than the priesthood was used as a place to dispose of unwanted Shanir. Jamethiel Dream-Weaver was a priestess. Priests are trained at the Priests' College at Wilden. After training they may remain there or be sent to any of the nine Kencyr temples on Rathillien. Acknowledging Lady Rawneth as their patron, there are hints that the priesthood has been intentionally corrupted.
