  • Haviland P. Squill
rdfs:comment
  • Haviland P. Squill was a character conceived but not built, circa 1968, for the proposed television special Johnny Carson and the Muppet Machine. A shaggy Muppet with a fur-clad torso, Squill was an oily pitchman character, and the most prominent individual Muppet in the storyboard proposal. He would periodically encounter Johnny Carson, selling him seemingly useless items which would later come in handy. Squill's huckster personality would be used for many later characters, notably Lefty the Salesman from Sesame Street.
