Text | - "Maester Lucas, do you have any advice?"
- "Maester, write to the king and offer our services."
- "Tommen is our king," the Maester says firmly. "We must be true to him. Perhaps we can ask if there's any service that he needs."
- "We will demonstrate our loyalty to the king by defending the kingsroad in his name."
- "How do you think this could be an opportunity, Rona? Say what you mean."
- "We'll send a party in plainclothes to attack a royal outpost. See how they handle it."
- "My [lord/lady]," Rona says, "the king is dead and a boy sits on the Iron Throne. We must decide if this is a tragedy for us or an opportunity."
- "We're sworn to [Your Fealty], but what's good for them isn't always best for us. Why not test the waters, see how weak King Tommen really is?"
- Groat considers. "The king needs allies. If we make a show of loyalty now while he's weakest, it could bring us to his attention."
- "Groat? Do you have any thoughts as to how we should handle this?"
