Kent Martin boasts a catalogue of awards, from local media awards to national and international awards for ground-breaking undercover investigations. She is a supporter of the Air Ambulance Service and the Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race, and has held a number of public appointments at trustee and director level, primarily within organisations promoting health and well-being of women and children. Her hobbies include spending time in water and underwater, gardening, adrenaline sports, and a reluctancy to exercise. Her areas of special interest in reporting include; animals reared for food, children and families social work, and standards in the care of the elderly.
