- Ask if Oberyn disapproves of letting Tyrion join the Night's Watch.
- Before Shae's testimony, Oberyn Martell finds Ser Hugo. "The Kingslayer convinced Lord Tywin to let Tyrion take the black," he whispers.
- Oberyn grins tightly. "Perhaps trials work differently here than in Dorne. It seems backwards to pass the sentence before the verdict."
- Say that an honorable life at the Wall is the best Tyrion can hope for now.
- "I hear it is cold at the Wall," Oberyn says mockingly. "And there are few whores and all of them ugly. It would not be Lord Tyrion's first choice."
- "If Lord Tywin gives me the Mountain, that is advantage enough," Oberyn says, "though it does seem wrong to take him as a gift instead of steal him."
