There, they found that the Galactic Republic Union was in power, and using the same symbol as the Galactic Empire had used since its formation almost 200 years before. Once the Coruscant government heard how Stan had helped defeat the Sith, they decided to nominate him as the new Head of State and give him the title of Galactic Emperor. Stan accepted the nomination, and, to complete the re-integration between the Yeda New Republic and Coruscant, proposed that Darth Vader 3 become his Grand Vizier. He made Darth Vader 5 his Supreme Commander of Imperial Forces and took command of the Ultra-class Star Destroyer. Then Stan made State Visits to various sector capitols around the Galaxy to see who would be willing to join his Empire. When the sector governors asked Stan if he was trying to intimidate them with a huge starship, Stan responded that the ship was an example of the protection that the United Galactic Empire could offer their sector. This convinced most sectors to join Stan's Empire and so the Galactic Empire was once more in control of the galaxy using the same diplomatic methods that Thrawn had used in the Unknown Regions.
