  • Tahn Ya (call sign Red-79) was an Alderaanian human Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars, Great Jedi Purge, and Galactic Civil War. During his lifetime, he would take part in several battles and duels, and became well known around the galaxy as a hero and a rebel. As a youngling in the Jedi Temple, starting at the age of 13, he trained vigorously. He was very powerful even at the young age, and had a group of friends that formed a small group of four called the Outsiders. The group simply tried to make their marks, and considered the group to be a lifelong pack. Tahn left the temple at age 15, becoming the apprentice of Fringe Quinn. As an apprentice, Ya went on several missions, partaking in training sessions with his master. After a year of apprenticeship, Tahn and his master fought against invaders in the Battle of Coruscant, and Fringe was killed by an attack. Tahn earned his knighthood by killing the invaders in honor of his dead master. As the Clone Wars engulfed the galaxy, Tahn wen on a Mission to Kashyyyk, where he met Sandyar Trek who he took on as an apprentice. Tahn trained the boy, and the two defended the republic in battles. Tahn would once again defend a Jedi temple, and his apprentice would grow stronger every day. But Sandyar had an unnatural feeling of hatred for all that around him, which drove him insane and fell to the dark side at the hands of Darth Mykll. After Sandyar laid massacre at the Fradar Jedi Temple, Tahn would duel his apprentice, and Trek would end it by dying. After confronting and killing Mykll, Tahn continued fighting in the War, but after Order 66 was initiated, he was forced to flee from the Republic, now the Galactic Empire, and went into hiding. During the Purge, Tahn discovered a rebellion beginning to form after the death of Galen Marek, and joined it, using his Jedi powers to rise up against the Empire. Tahn died ten years later, defending his fellow rebels from the Empire by using the force to collapse the building around him. His legacy became large, and was known as a true hero of both the Jedi Order and the Rebellion.
