  • Velia Sakaros (nee Tasparan) was a female Sith pureblood from Andaria. The wife of Nagarian Sakaros the Elder, she was also the mother of his three children, Velian, Tak, and Anticlea. Like her husband, she was Force-sensitive, but unaware of her heritage and untrained. Born and raised on Andaria, Velia was the daughter of a male bacta trader and a female attorney. Successful in school, she found work as a legal clerk and was considering law school herself when she met Nagarian Sakaros. The two married after a year of dating. While they both continued to work for a time, Velia left work to stay at home after the birth of Velian in 92 BBY. The Sakaroses sent their sons to private school, but Velia spent a great deal of time with them at home. Her namesake son had a very militant, nationally loyal mindset, but Tak shared Velia's view that family was more important than anything. Velia and Nagarian spoke often of leaving Andaria, especially as the government became less stable, but ultimately decided to provide the best life they could for their sons on their homeworld. They went on many vacations and trips as a family. The government in Marinok City fell in 78 BBY, and Velia kept her sons home from school often. In 76 BBY, Velia became pregnant with a daughter, and gave birth to Anticlea the following year. Only months later, the Nationalist government currently controlling Cresyl demanded the Sakaroses and other Sith purebloods pay double taxes, singling them out as unusual aliens and seeking a pretext to eliminate "conspirators". Both Nagarian and Velia refused, and were executed by a firing squad accompanied by their own son, Velian.
