After Eddie returned to Miami, he is arrested by Crockett who threatens 15 years in jail (mandatory in Florida) if he doesn't cooperate with the police, and despite his public defender Andy Sloan telling him otherwise, Crockett promises a free walk for him and Louis if they help bring down Moya. The friends arrange for the deal, it turns out to be a rip-off, and just as Moya is prepared to kill Eddie the SRT team kills Moya, then Castillo tries to get the kids to the airport before Moya's brother Pepe finds out (which he already knew because he was at the scene), Crockett & Tubbs get Eddie & Louis to the airport, but before they can get on the plane Pepe Moya shows up and shoots Eddie down in front of Crockett, who lies stunned at the turn of events.
