In 2293, he led a Romulan attack force against planet Triskelion, in an effort to obtain the technology used by the Providers to transmute thought to energy. This invasion was repelled by Klingon forces, in an early military effort in support of the Federation. Dosean later accompanied Romulan Ambassador Renzel to Earth, for negotiations with Triskelion Ambassador Shahna, wher he offered a formal apology for the attack. Later, however, he attempted to assassinate Shahna, but was stopped by Klingon representative General Korrd. (TOS short story: "The Lights in the Sky")
