  • Main Phase (メインフェイズ Mein Feizu) is the fifth phase of a turn. During this phase, the turn player may perform any one of the following actions: * Play a Z/X. * Play a Z/X Extra from Dynamis. * Play an Event. * Activate a startup ability. * Attack the opposing Z/X and/or Player (Battle). With the exception of playing Z/X Extra, the turn player can do any of those actions more than once as long as he or she is able to do it. If the turn player has done any of those actions and/or choose to not do them anymore, he or she proceeds to the End Phase.

  • The Main Phase (Japanese: メインフェイズ Meinfeizu) is a type of phase that occurs up to twice per turn. Main Phase 1 occurs after the Standby Phase, while Main Phase 2 occurs after the Battle Phase. After Main Phase 1 has ended, the turn player may choose to enter the Battle Phase. If they choose not to, the player automatically proceeds to the End Phase. They cannot enter Main Phase 2 unless they conduct their Battle Phase. Some cards and effects can only be activated during a particular Main Phase, such as "Cold Wave" and "Emergency Assistance", which can only be activated during Main Phase 1 and 2, respectively.
