Dr. Maroon completed the 2.4 mile ocean swim, the 112 mile bike ride and the 26.2 mile run in 15 hours, 40 minutes and 31 seconds, the 17th best time in his age division (70-74). It was the seventh time Dr. Maroon has competed in the Ironman. Dr. Maroon did the swim in an hour, 53 minutes and 54 seconds; the bike ride in six hours, 57 minutes and 42 seconds, and the marathon run in six hours, 31 minutes and 31 seconds.
