| abstract | - Tungren is a metallic element characterized by its hard, heavy properties and its seared-white color. It is pianetic, meaning that is exists in such quantity in the star system of Caspia that it was thought to be found exclusively there. It has since been found throughout the region, but most readily accessible Tungren is found in Caspian resources. The metal has an extremely high melting point and resistance to corrosion. Dense, heavy, and brittle, it is not very malleable and its weight prohibits casting into sheets or plates. It does have excellent tensile strength, and can be drawn into wires and threads. When alloyed (or, combined into a ceramic) with such metals and substances as olumart powder, the resulting material is far more appealing for products. Tungren is, in fact, the key matrix in Olumic armor.
