Biography
  • Ed Spencer, III is a former NASCAR driver from Berwick, PA. He competed in five Nationwide Series events in his career. Ed, III is also the nephew of Jimmy Spencer. Spencer made his Nationwide debut in 1996, nearly forty-two-and-a-half years after his first NASCAR start. Driving at Rockingham in his son's car, Spencer started and finished 22nd after a respectable, clean outing. Spencer's busiest year was in 1997, competing in three events. He led one lap in his return to Rockingham, but was forced out late in the year to finish 36th. He rebounded with a career-best 15th place outing at Richmond before an early tranmission issue left him last at Las Vegas. Spencer's final race came in 1998, when he competed at Nazareth. Starting 42nd in the field of forty-three, Spencer crashed just thirty laps into the race to finish 41st. External Links *Stats
