"Phineas, stop sighing," snapped his mother. She wasn't normally that mean to her son — in fact, she was very kind to him — but meeting with her ex-husband was making her a bit on edge. They got off the plane and into the crowded, noisy airport. Phineas spotted his luggage immediately, along with his mother's. Picking them both up — what did his mother have in there, rocks? — he lugged them over to his mother, who accepted them with an absent-minded "Thank you." Together, they walked through the airport. Phineas spotted a shock of bright red hair. "Dad!" "Phineas!" They hugged, but Mark let go of his son when he spotted Linda. "Hello, Mark," she said stiffly. "Hello, Linda." Phineas looked desperately from parent to parent, trying to ease the sticky moment. Apparently his grandparents felt the same way, because next thing Phineas knew, an elderly man was shaking his hand. "Hi, Phineas. Nice to meet you."
