Eventually graduating to the rank of Jedi Knight, Kelan was one of many volunteers who acted as de facto Jedi Watchmen. He traveled the breadth of space, working alongside others such as his brother or fellow Watchman Daertha Ollan. Kelan actively served in every major conflict the New Jedi Order participated in, most notably the Yuuzhan Vong War.
