Following her resignation, Coburn was acclaimed as the new leader. Coburn's leadership was cut short when he was forced to announce his resignation after he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He died months later. Dani Sloan died moths later in early 3144 at the age of 62. Many speculate that she died of a broken heart. Ruth, Kristi, and Jan all died in 3170 while voyaging on their father's boat. The boat hit rocks and sank with the three women and their families on board. Ruth was 63, Kristi was 60, and Jan was 56.
