  • Margaret Percy Phipps (29 August 1877-22 September 1944). Born in Staten Island, New York, USA, She was the daughter of William Wilton Phipps, a coffee and banana trader, of Wiltshire and Chelsea and his wife Jessie Percy Butler Duncan of New York. Her parents were residents of Chelsea, and it was there she married Sir Edmund Bampfylde Phipps (1869-1947) on 28 April 1906. His biography on Wikipedia is here [1].
