  • Almost all weapons of uncommon or higher rarity have perks and upgrades that can be unlocked by earning experience with the weapon equipped. Perks typically come in the form of different optics, adjustments to attributes, special abilities and increased attack power. In almost all cases, the rarer the weapon, the more perk choices that are available. Weapons typically have the following perk and upgrade options available: * Uncommon: Two optic/attribute options, one ability and one damage upgrade. * Rare: Three optic/attribute options, one ability, two abilities and/or attribute adjustments. * Legendary: Three optic/attribute options, two abilities, three abilities and/or attribute adjustments. * Exotic: Three attribute adjustment options, two abilities (one or more possibly unique). Legendary and Exotic weapons acquired during Year 2 and Year 3 can only have their attack increased by infusing a weapon of higher attack into it. Before perks can be used, they must be purchased with Glimmer and/or other upgrade materials such as Weapon Parts. Perks/upgrades in the same column, such as optics, can be swapped for free once purchased.
