Thus he came up with a method to summon numerous kunai laden with explosive tags before unleashing a fiery attack to disguise the insertion of the kunai as they hurtled towards an enemy, leaving the opponent unaware to the hidden danger as they are only focusing on the incoming flames. However, the problem with this was that the explosive tags would detonate the moment the fire touches them, potentially causing grievous injury to the user as the technique would backfire. To make up for this weakness, Densetsu incorporated a then revolutionary trait for a mere 11 year old Genin; he managed to add a layer of chakra around his kunai as he fired them; enabling the flames to encase the explosive projectiles without causing premature detonations. After mastering this, Densetsu could launch his attack directly at his opponents (purposely aiming to miss them), and at the moment of his bidding, he could enable his chakra flow to diminish, causing sudden explosions which sends miniature metallic shrapnel from the kunai from all directions, making evasion very difficult, and next to impossible. Besides that, the area around the opponent becomes a miniature inferno, reducing mobility. Another variant of the technique is to unleash a flamethrower at an enemy, only to reveal the explosive kunai at the very last minute, as synchronised explosions pummel an enemy. As with many of Densetsu's attacks, this attack relies on sheer unpredictability and raw simplicity. It's success depends on the intuition and largely on skill of the user, as a minor misstep or error in chakra distribution could result in the kunai exploding in front of the user.
