Edwards also started his 1953 season at Palm Beach, this time starting 19th but still managing a respectable 13th place finish by day's end. He also competed at the prestigious Daytona Beach Road Course. Starting 34th in the field there, Edwards kept out of trouble for the most part and wound up with a mid-pack 35th place showing. Edwards' final race would come in the 1955 season, returning yet again to the Palm Beach racetrack. Edwards continued to run well there, starting 13th and winding up 11th, just twenty laps down.
