  • Giant Eagles are large, powerfully built birds of prey, with a heavy head and beak. They are frequently seen in The Heroes of Olympus, mainly used by the Romans for transporting and protecting Roman demigods.
  • This giant eagle has white fur around its body and purple fur around its head and neck, outer wings and tail. It also wears a light blue-coloured strap around its neck, It wears a greyish-coloured plane pilots hat on its head and it also has a yellow beak.
  • The is the personal summon of Gennō, and hails from the Land of Mountains.
  • After completion of the Eagles' Peak quest, a player may use the Giant eagle as transport. The eagles can be lassoed using a rope, and they can take you to their respective Hunter locations. The Polar eagle takes you to the Rellekka Hunter area; the Desert eagle takes you to the Hunter area west of Uzer; the Jungle eagle takes you to the Hunter area south of the Feldip Hills. When these eagles are lassoed in their lairs at the other hunter locations, they bring you back to Eagles' Peak, which is very close to the Piscatoris hunter area.
  • Giant eagles are large eagles that live on Azeroth and inside the Emerald Dream.. Some were trained as mounts by the blood elf dragonhawk units of the island of Quel'Danas. They can be summoned by druids as nature's allies. The giant eagles are fully described in Appendix Three of Manual of Monsters, however the validity of the source is disputed.
  • Giant eagles look like normal eagles grown to enormous size. They are on average 15 feet in height, with a wingspan of up to 30 feet, and weigh upwards of 500 pounds. In all other respects they resemble their small, mundane cousins. These creatures, however, possess a supernatural intelligence and see themselves as protectors of their mountainous homelands. They will attack those they see as threats to their environment, but occasionally become allies with those who share similar views. They understand the elemental language of air, Auran, but cannot speak it.
  • The giant eagles and giant owls that hunt in the swamp do so with great danger, but the Anthroaches are easy pickings and tasty snacks, and this is helpful to the good people of the swamp. Finding a Bayou Halfling under threat from a giant snake is a bonus, as these reptiles can make excellent meals. Their peril comes primarily from Creeps, Derangers, Dravages, Eviles, and Serpents who all believe it is great sport to bring down one of these benevolent beasts in a hail of arrows or spears. Thankfully, more often than not, such battles usually end with scattered humanoids and a slightly wounded avian.

Thankfully, more often than not, such battles usually end with scattered humanoids and a slightly wounded avian. Giant eagles rule by day, giant owls by night. None of either race has ever been corrupted by the Dark Pollen, likely due to their flying above and beyond its dispersal areas. Creeplow, the largest and most powerful Giant Owl, is detailed in the New Monsters chapter. The largest giant eagle is Fishguard, but she pales in comparison to Creeplow.
