  • Malcolm Terris (born 11th January 1941 in Sunderland) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles: * The Police Sergeant carrying out an eviction order at a gypsy encampment in October 1970 * Talent scout Bob Maskell in May 1974 * Eric Firman, owner of frozen food chain Firman's Freezers, who appeared intermittently between January 1994 and August 1998. Prior to going to drama school, Malcolm was a trainee reporter on the Sunderland Echo, the town's evening paper. Since graduating he has appeared regularly on television in programmes such as Man at the Top, Thriller, Warship, When the Boat Comes In, Doctor Who, Z Cars, Cover, Reilly: Ace of Spies, Juliet Bravo, The Life and Loves of a She-Devil, Our Friends in the North, Casualty, Emmerdale, Holby City and Doctors. On stage he has appeared in several Shakespearean roles in performances of Othello and Hamlet while in the cinema he played in Bounty, Chaplin and Scandal.
