abstract
  • Margaret "Meg" Radcliff, nee Dandridge was the wife of Victor Radcliff. They were engaged before the French and Spanish War, and married after the war ended. They had three children together, none of whom lived past their second year. Meg was simultaneously proud of her heroic husband and horrified when he left her on long trips. She did not want him to lead the Army of the Atlantean Assembly during the Atlantean War of Independence, but saw that he was the best qualified candidate, and so tearfully and angrily permitted him to go. While Meg was faithful to Victor, he was not always so. During the last year of the war, Victor sired a son with a slave-woman. Despite Victors efforts, Meg learned of the child, and confronted Victor when the war was over. While she eventually forgave him, she would not let him forget. Upon his appointment as Consul of Atlantis, Meg noted that Atlantis would be safe in his hands, and that he would be safe in hers.
