- Tell the councillor that you won't do anything dishonorable.
- Tactfully question the exact contents of the letter, caravan and package.
- "I have favors to ask," the Councillor invites, "A letter to go to King's Landing, a caravan to Sunspear, and a package to retrieve at Storm's End."
- The councillor drinks his wine. "We are not haggling in the market. You decide what you can do for me, and I'll decide what I can do for you."
- Pointedly ask whether you will get your loan if you do his favors.
- Try to strike a better bargain -- one favor, one loan.
