  • Born to parents who were often away with the explorers league around Azeroth, Gazaran Hammerfoot led a solitary life in Kharanos. An avid hunter,he relished life in the wild. Exceeded in harsh environments and tough conditions. The lone child of Dooreen and Thurin Hammerfoot he learnt quickly to look after himself, his lifestyle unknowingly molding him into the ranger of the wild he is today. Spending a mandatory spell in the Dwarven riflemen as his forefathers did before him, he quickly gained experience in combat and survival.. After a few years of dutyful service to his fellow dwarves, he began to get a lust for the wider world. He requested and recieved a honorable discharge from the Dwarven Riflemen, authorised by the seal of the clan of Bronzebeard. He packed up his faithful rifle, Sharpened his hunting knife and set off with his faithfull companion,Snowy, a white bear whom he had formed a bond with in his youth in Kharanos. Years passed and many lands he ventured through... encountering many new beasts an creatures. From shamanistic trolls tribes and panthers in Stranglethorn...to the deadly raptors of Un'Goro. Returning to the alliance controlled town of Theramore, Dustwallow for supplies and a night in the Inn, he met another dwarf..a member of the Wildhammer clan.. Unthin was his name... Unthin accompanied Gazaran to the local inn where they shared stories of past and present, Establishing a friendship that would last... Unthin told stories of his ventures to the Northern wastes,of the impact of the scourge on Azeroth,of the domestic challenges facing a now under-manned military of the alliance factions... Gazaran suddenly thought of his home, the threat to Kharanos,to its beautiful mountains and precious wildlife, to his family a friends dwelling there. Unthin returned the next day to Northrend, a venture from which he would not return for many years Gazaran returned to the wilds of Kalimdor but was haunted by a conscience which screamed in his head for Righteousness and justice.Unable to take it any more he returned to the lands shadowed by the great mountain range of Khaz Modan. He began to gather around him old allies from his youth and formed a detachment of Rangers, determined to clear Azeroth of all enemies against freedom and peace.Word spread through the alliance lands of this new band of militants,Volunteers signed up for a life of conquest, against their local enemies, against the enemies of peace... Thus the Rangers of Kharanos was formed.
