The city is an impressive military structure. Walled completely within every direction and located on an archipelago, Doraat is a difficult location for any army to invade. Under the administrative control of the Godwins, the populace of Doraat have been traditionally highly supportive of their rulers, zealously echoing the sentiment of the Godwins on the importance of Falenan military might. However, during the Falenan Civil War, Doraat became disillusioned by the abusive actions of then-appointed Godwin official, Childerich, whose heinous and inhumane actions while in command quickly spoiled the goodwill citizens of Doraat had once had for the Godwin leaders, ultimately leading to most of the populace coming under the control of the Falenan Loyalist Army.
