  • The Orleans Arena is a multi-purpose arena in the Paradise neighborhood of Las Vegas, Nevada that seats 7,773 for ice hockey. It is home to the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. It is located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino and is operated by Coast Casinos, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming Corporation. It is the first arena in Nevada to be built specifically to host ice hockey. The Orleans Arena is the third major arena to host professional ice hockey in Las Vegas, the other two being the MGM Grand Garden Arena at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino (home to Frozen Fury) and the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) which was the former home to the IHL's Las Vegas Thunder. The first game played at the Orleans Arena was on October 21, 2003 in which a capacity crowd saw the Wranglers defeat the Bakersfield Condors 4-2. The Wranglers have had tremendous success at the Orleans Arena posting one of the best home records in ECHL history. Both the Stanley Cup and Kelly Cup have made appearances at the arena over the years.
