abstract | - Darvin Adams (born January 5, 1990) is an American football wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. He was signed by the Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football at Auburn. He is from Kennesaw, Georgia. During the 2009 season he had 60 receptions for 997 yards and 10 touchdowns ). Adams is 6'3" tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds. He was hailed as one of the Southeastern Conference's best wide receivers. Adams was named Most Valuable Player of the January 1, 2010 Outback Bowl, with 12 receptions for 142 yards in Auburn's 38-35 victory. During the 2010 SEC Championship Game, Auburn won the Southeastern Conference and Adams broke the SEC Championship Game record for receiving yards with 217. On January 17, 2011, Auburn University announced Adams' decision to skip his senior year and declare for the NFL draft.
