  • Born in Corpus Christi, Texas with a talent for drawing, Victoria Webster majored in journalism at the University of Texas. After getting her degree, she began working in various news departments in Southern California. Eventually Webster wound up at the local station KNUZ, where she did the late night weather for a while, then became a reporter with a reputation for personally wasting a lot of film with her hand held camera. While covering a shuttle launch at Cape Canaveral, Victoria explored the grounds and coincidentally managed to film Colonel Steve Austin using his bionic powers. Determined to get to the bottom of the story, Webster introduced herself to Austin and Oscar Goldman, demanding an interview. The two men, who were just about to leave on a vacation, saw no other way then to invite her along to Baja. However, her unscrupulous boss Charles Colby wanted to get some money out her footage from more unsavory parties and convinced Victoria the tape was blank. So, she set out to obtain some new film of Steve Austin in action, even putting her own life at risk by having him rescue her from falling off a cliff. Spending time with Austin in Baja, she got him to reveal his secrets, and in the process began to fall in love with him. Just when she had decided to give up the story, Colby arrived with two hired thugs to kidnap Austin. At first Victoria thought it was all a set-up planned by Oscar Goldman, until one of the mercenaries tried to get rid of her by having her succomb to gas burners in a winnebago. After being rescued by Steve Austin in the nick of time, Victoria decided not to make his bionic replacements public knowledge. It would have been witheld from publication by Oscar Goldman anyway, as Charles Colby and his accomplices had been arrested and the original film reposessed. However, Victoria and Steve teamed up and bribed Goldman into pulling some strings for her to get a job at a Washington TV station by using the film she shot of Austin rescuing her from the cliff.
