  • The Royal Chitwan National Park is the oldest among the 14 national parks and reserves in Nepal. Whereas the city of Kathmandu and many other places are located in the relatively higher levels of the Himalayas, the Royal Chitwan National Park is in the lower areas, actually almost the plains called the Tarai regions of Nepal.
