| abstract | - The vicious maelstrom of purgatorial flames amassed and expanded, whirling around Gai with tremendous speed; the heat given off by the flames was enough to raise the temperature similar to that of desert environments, sapping Sōkyoku Hill of all life as surroundings eroded almost instantaneously- extremely dangerous white flames spread out from the beast's body, incinerating all they touched. Eienrai, however, was unconcerned at the destruction of the surroundings, only anticipating his death at the beast's hands- though due to the curse placed upon him, he was unable to just allow Gai to destroy him. Glancing at his wickedly curved combat knife for a brief second, the sealed state of his Zanpakutō, Eienrai declared; "Now, let's break away, Raitsubaki!" Azure thunder amassed around the small blade, spiraling around the knife before converging and expanding, transforming in a flash of lightning. As the thunder subsided, Raitsubaki took the form of a cylindrical, drill-shaped sword engraved with crimson markings on three independently rotating segments that spun in different directions, the middle segment spinning clockwise and the top and bottom segments spinning counterclockwise. Such an odd shape; it was similar to spear crossed with a bedrock drill designed with multiple gears to dig a gigantic hole by eating at the bedrock little by little. Gripping the hilt of his weapon tightly, Eienrai declared to his berserk foe; "Now, Gai Nagareboshi…Lets destroy each other." Hizashi, who was bound by reiryoku-cancelling chains, could only watch on in horror. Gai bared his sharp incisors towards his foe, his corrupted thought process only giving him instructions to kill all that had harmed Hizashi. Pitch-black down amassed and expanded in his hand as he thrust it out, summoning his Zanpakutō instantly. At that moment, the beast twitched, disappearing instantaneously. Before Eienrai could respond and strike his opponent, Gai appeared behind him, gripping his waist with a single hand, launching him high into the air at an extreme velocity. Unable to retaliate properly, Gai twitched once again, disappearing and reappearing in an instant, high above the clouds. Unleashing an exceedingly powerful airborne serial of rolling kicks that drew in and trapped everything in its vicinity, Gai drew his foe into his fearsome clutches. Being sucked in by the vacuum effect the rolling kicks had on his body, Eienrai waited until the right moment, before announcing, "Kikanjū Gyakuten!" Now in perfect range, Eienrai unleashed a series of multiple kicks in a row which left a series of thunderbolts in the form of an 'E' upon Gai's body. Instantly, the thunder bolts dissipated, as Gai clutched the tip of Raitsubaki, before launching its wielder to the ground at tremendous speed, forming a massive crater upon Eienrai's impact with the twisted ground. Quickly leaping to his feet, Eienrai utilized Shunpo to translocate himself high into the air, meeting his foe eye-to-eye. "Yes, this…THIS is it. This is what I've been looking for. Strike me down with all of your hatred, Gai Nagareboshi." Unresponsive to Eienrai's maddened rant, the beast merely snarled at his opponent before the seven swords constructed from black feathers floating behind his back converged, transforming into an enormous cannon that became situated above his head. The blades started to whirl around at inconceivable speeds, as golden reishi charged in-between them at an astonishing rate. "The Inen Bakufū, hm? This one seems leagues more powerful than the regular. Very well." The segments of Raitsubaki began rotating rapidly, creating a shrilling howl that resounded throughout the air. Meanwhile, Gai's cannon opened up, revealing an eye. Raitsubaki swallowed, compressed, and accelerated wind pressure into a fake space-time dislocation capable of pulverizing any opposition as Eienrai declared, "Eisha Shūrai!" unleashing this tremendous force in the form of a crushing torrent, a spiraling arrow-like beam of azure thunder as Gai unleashed an exceedingly powerful titanic wave of reishi from the cannon's barrel, the two penultimate forces speeding towards each other at near light-speeds. The two blasts collided with tremendous force, twilight against thunder, before veering off wildly in unexpected directions, causing incredible devastation to the surroundings. Unfazed by the destruction they were causing, Gai Nagareboshi and Eienrai leapt at each other at sound barrier-breaking speeds, Gai Nagareboshi and Eienrai's Zanpakutō clash, as sparks erupt from the powerful clash of weapons. At that moment when Kakusei and Raitsubaki contacted with each other, the sheer force of the clash generated an extremely powerful sonic boom that decimated the mountain in the immediate vicinity, with the large rocky formation crumbling and shattering into innumerable rocky fragments. Instantaneously breaking out of the blade lock, Gai snapped out a sharp, high kick towards Eienrai's chest which was so powerful that it left a flash aftereffect behind it, launching the foe a fair distance away. Catching himself in mid-air, Eienrai quickly landed on the ground, before swiping both of his arms in a circular motion until the bottom of his hands meet, with the hand on top having the index and middle fingers pointing upwards, while the other hand had the little and index fingers pointing downwards. The moment that his hands met, an aura of azure thunder swirled around his body. Uttering, "Hiretsuō no Tsuchi!" Eienrai unleashed an extremely large, vertical sword's blade consisting of azure thunder which descended upon Gai, creating a gigantic explosion that sent the beast careening into Seireitei. Standing on his own two feet, stomping upon the ground, Gai performed a tremendously fast somersault kick towards Eienrai. The sheer force of the kick created several enormous tornadoes in its wake, all directed towards his foe, travelling towards him at inconceivable speeds. Staying collected in the face of such an onslaught, Eienrai gripped Raitsubaki, declaring, "Denkō no Shinkei Chūnyū." Raitsubaki infused Eienrai's nerve endings with electricity, rapidly increasing his motor abilities, resulting in a phenomenal increase in speed in both his movements and reactions. Running through the tornadoes unscathed, Eienrai utilized the tornadoes' momentum to launch himself through the air, colliding with Gai and unleashing a point-black Eisha Shūrai directed at the beast's chest. "GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" Unleashing a mighty roar, Gai stabbed Kakusei into the air, and dragging it down, tore open a behemoth rift from which hundreds of different swords were spawned, attacking in a continuous stream of blades at beyond hypersonic speeds that were all directed towards Eienrai, the storm of swords battering and piercing his being, sending his body flailing along the ground before careening into a building. Believing that his target had been utterly obliterated, the beast slowly began to turn away. As the dust settled, Eienrai stood up from the debris, seemingly unharmed. "Ah. You have disappointed me, Gai Nagareboshi. Is that the Envoy of Destruction's true strength? I was hoping that you would be able to kill me by now." Unknown to Gai and Eienrai, somewhere in the distance, a Garganta began to open. Throwing his coat open, Eienrai revealed a strange seal on his body, similar to that of the Ōken. "Have you forgotten? I am the Soul King. Ever since I merged with your creator, I absorbed all of its powers, adding them to my own. Now…" As these words resounded throughout the air, Eienrai began a horrendous transformation, as his hair lengthened and his clothes had become similar to those of a Shinto priest. Six sets of crimson pointed wyvern-like wings erupted from his back. Eienrai's scelera become black, and he gains two thunderbolt-shaped marks under his eyes. Thrusting his arm at Gai, Eienrai declared. "Behold. Despair awaits you at the finish line, Gai Nagareboshi."
