Jesse was born on West Blue, where he was adopted by his master, Jon Durand, and trained several years to become the next Flingueur (gunslinger), the title his master gave to himself. His surname was given by his master and it's a pun between the french words for full moon (pleine lune), making reference to the big full moon on the day he was adopted. After his training was over, Jesse became a Marine, but soon he abandoned that life after having participated of the "Red Dusk", and then became a bounty hunter.
