| abstract | - The Special Operations Headquarters, colloquially known as "Headquarters, Commando" was a battalion-sized unit of the Grand Army of the Republic responsible for exercising command and control over the entire Galactic Republic Special Operations Command and all Republic Special Forces units. The Special Operations Headquarters was directly answerable to the War Council Advisory Panel and the Commander-in-Chief, Grand Army of the Republic for providing a special operations capability to the Grand Army of the Republic. The Special Operations Headquarters, headquartered at the Forn Dodonna Special Warfare Center, had three companies: a Command Company, a FTL Signals Company, and a Support Services Company. In its Command Company, it contained the Commander-in-Chief, Special Operations Command (CINCSOCOM), the three-star High Jedi General appointed to be the commanding general of the Special Operations Command.
