  • Trudging back from the mostly destroyed Seireitei, Gai Nagareboshi was in for something unfortunate. The crumbling remains of Seireitei burned in the background. He could do nothing but watch- highly resminient of Emperor Nero fiddling around while Rome burned to the ground. Though Gai wasn't insane and psychotic. Despite the chaos ensuing, Gai remained perfectly serene. He didn't give a damn about what had occured, and possibly even the deaths of hundreds. He was sick and tired of all these events. He just wanted to get home and relax for the rest of his life, then maybe solve everything else. Tiredness. All he wanted to was to rest. There was no place like home, afterall. Besides, the Mototsu-Seishin hybrid's stomach was growling as if it was a Hollow roaring.

As he opened the door, he sighed in relief, everything was as he left it. Hell, even that groove in the armchair was left as it was. All seemed to be right in the world of Gai Nagareboshi. Wandering over to the refrigerator, he analyzed the contents, hoping to find something to drink. Reaching into the drawers and pulling out a bottle of water, Gai wiped the sweat from his forehead, only to see his significant other before him with her arms crossed and a scowl affixed upon her face behind him. She tapped her foot against the wooden floor, demandingly. Holy crap, she looks like it was her time of the month. Hizashi Yoshi didn't look too happy, that was as sure as hell. As he turned around, she slowly approached him. "...Gai. Welcome back." Gai wasn't someone who could take a hint, as he placed his drink on the table and ran to her, embracing her tightly. Hizashi showed no response, remaining perfectly still. Gai sensed animosity, as he quickly shuffled back. "Hizashi, what's wrong...?" Gai inquired. He wasn't sure how to react- Hizashi had never behaved like this, from what he could remember. "...Ahem," Coughing, Hizashi wanted to make sure that Gai was all ears. "...I have noticed, you and I have been spending less and less time together. Whether it be due to that devil woman, or your chronic hero syndrome, you and I have been drifting apart. ...I think it is time to finally tie the knot. ...I am not getting any younger." Gai tensed up. "...The other two Tenjōgekido are out there. Who knows what they're doing. If I so much as rest, then they'll rise and attack us. I'm sure of it." "I forbid you from doing this anymore. Stay with me. Please, Gai…say you will." Hizashi demanded; throwing an ultimatum right in front of the Mototsu-Seishin hybrid's face. He was left utterly speechless, and he didn't know what to think, say, or how to react. All sorts of feelings ran through his head. Confusion, exhaustion, pessimism, doubt, and fear. Relationships were complicated; this was a no-brainer. He just wanted to sit back, get that sweaty jacket off his body, and cuddle up to her in the air-conditioning. Such a demand was making everything much, much worse. This wasn't what he wanted to come back to. The air became silent, as Gai slowly opened his mouth, trembling while responding, "…Sorry, Hizashi. I…can't. I'd prefer to keep things as they are." SLAP! Without any prior indication, Hizashi had administered a powerful slap to Gai's left cheek, causing it to swell slightly. In tears, Hizashi responded, "...I had a feeling you would be selfish!" Gai couldn't understand what was going on, stating in utter confused, "...Selfish?" After a brief moment, his bewilderment turned to rage, "Selfish!?" All sembelance of calmness dissipated, as Gai shouted, "I sacrificed my life to save the Soul Society! Everyone did everything to get me back to you! But guess what!? When I'm revived, I find out that I lost a whopping four years of my life! Now, after all this crap, I just want to get some goddamn rest! How the fuck is that selfish!? HUH!? ANSWER ME THAT!!" "Do you not realize, it was hell believing you were dead! I shall not allow myself to be heartbroken again! So tell me, what is more important to you!? Defeating those Tenjōgekido, or me!? Answer me, Gai Nagareboshi!" All Gai could do was remain silent, as Hizashi burst into tears, screeching at him, "Get out!" Without any hesitation, Hizashi dragged him to the door, and pushed him out, marking the end of their relationship with a single hand movement. Gai slowly turned around, screaming at her in fury, "What's so good about you? No one would take notice of you - you're haughty like hell, you kick around when you sleep, you don't wear panties, you can't cook for crap, and I only can say 'I love you' to you out of pity for the soccer mom, really. There’s nothing else to praise you for. When I attempt to get some work done, you bitch and whine how I'm not spending time with you these days, and you try to tempt me with all sorts of crap, but when I misunderstand and drool about it, you put me down with insults. Realize the reality, peach-haired bitch. Hizashi Yoshi, the mistress of bitching, that's what I should call you." Without a second thought, Hizashi had slammed the door upon Gai's face.
