"Painter Man" was later covered by the 1970s pop group Boney M., and reached number 10 in the UK single charts in 1979. The song was included on their 1978 album Nightflight to Venusand had been released in Continental Europe as the double A-side "Rasputin"/"Painter Man" in 1978. In the U.K. the song was however given A-side status and also released as a 12" single in yellow, red and clear vinyl.
