| abstract | - Joseph Alan Purefoy, better known as Joe Purefoy (3rd June 3861 - 7th January 3964) was a Luthorian Politican and leader of the political party Choice since November 3899. In addition to this, since 3811 he has been the incumbent Imperial Seal-Bearer of Luthori. Purefoy along with a handful of new politicians re-founded the historical Choice party, distressed with the over-abundance of right-wing politics at the time. Purefoy is noted for taking the party furthest to the left than his predecessors and also for being widely acknowledged as the most successful leader of the party, gaining the party its three biggest electoral victories in terms of seat shares and even lead it to being the largest party in the Holy Imperial Diet for the first time in its history. Purefoy is also the most popular Choice leader, appealing especially to young people and his ability as a leader widely acknowledged to be well received, even by rival party leaders. However by the time he became Imperial Seal-Bearer his popularity waned, mostly due to his perceived "aggressive" republicanism. Despite making gains in the 3913 election, the Conservatives made much larger gains, pushing Choice out of government and their party leader Bryan Arinson replacing Purefoy as Imperial Seal-Bearer. After a number of months as party leader, Purefoy decided to step down, staying as party leader until the leadership election in September that year in which Edward Sanders was elected the new party leader. Purefoy is the 5th Great Grandfather of current parliamentary leader of the Dorvish Progress Party and Dorvish Finance Minister, Sara Voight.
