He then moved to the Ottawa-Hull Canadiens when the Quebec Junior Hockey League disbanded in 1955 and won a Memorial Cup in 1957-58. He turned pro in 1957-58 but was buried in the minor league systems of the Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins, and Chicago Blackhawks. He did manage to play 42 games for the Bruins in the 1961-62 NHL season. In 1967-68 he got in one full season for the Los Angeles Kings but fell back to the minors after that. He retired in 1974.
