  • Graveyard of the Atlantic is a locations known for numerous shipwrecks around Sable Island, off the coast of central Nova Scotia. When the arctic Labrador Current and the Gulf Current from down south meet it causes very rough waters. In some cases, it also causes thick fog which increases danger, especially near Sable Island. The area between Sable Island and Nova Scotia’s mainland is called the Sea of Lost Souls, named for the numerous sailors who gave their lives to the dark, dangerous waters.
