  • The Chief Justice of the Empire of Fastheld, and the architect of the Imperial Law that binds the Empire together, and holds the Peerage and Royalty alike succeptable to their crimes. An important legal, military, and political figure, the position of Justiciar is a Royal one in nature and has, through history and the nature of that which it commands, become very powerful and important; indeed, important and powerful enough to be a threat to the Emperor at times. Such an example of this power was demonstrated during the Dark Feather Insurrection when the Justiciar at that time subjugated one Government to install another all in a single day. The Justiciar position is usually always granted to a member of the Emperor's Blades, and holds a military rank equal to that of Captain. The Justiciar also inherits the Garrison/Fortress that is the Imperial Tribune, also known as the Central Garrison.
