When he was transformed into a Toa Nuva, the shield was changed too, and became larger as well as solid. It was used by Takua and Jaller to ride on to escape the Rahkshi. Also, Kopaka could ride it and use his Ice Blades at the same time. Kopaka could channel his Ice powers through his shield. Upon gaining adaptive armor, Kopaka traded his Ice Shield and Ice Blades for a Midak Skyblaster with a Blizzard Blade.
