rdfs:comment
  • Proto-Ktarh is the direct ancestor of Early Tānu Kti and Peripheral Ktarh dialects. As its primary stage isn't directly attested in any phonemic or phonetic shape, but merely recorded in a foreign system of aphonic logographs, its sound system and word shapes are purely the result of linguistic reconstruction. Its grammar, on the other hand, is decently well attested. Out of the script used to record proto-Ktarh, the speakers of early western Ktarh dialects developed a syllabic, and afterwards an alphabetic system.
