If a ship is to get caught in or initiate the Psi Directive, they are to, in any as safe-as-possible or quick means necessary, obliterate the molecule with no subatomic remnants. Specialized "Anti-Psi" teams will arrive after the first phase is complete. The severity of the directive also makes it's accessibility as low as a Lt Cmdr, teachings of it are extremely suppressed in the academy and Starfleet altogether, the only phrases or terms about it are rumors or very brief mentioning.
