  • One Week of Discomfort

  • Those words rushed through Gai Nagareboshi's mind, "…Alright. If he does anything dangerous, I shall lop his arms and legs off and smash his head against the wall until only a strand of hair remains." Those words were uttered by Hizashi Yoshi, who promised him that if Yuuki did anything hazardous to him, then she would intervene personally- and violently. In other words, she was perfectly fine with Gai and her pretending to separate so that the Mototsu can learn the cause of Yuuki's insanity. "Though Yuuki is kinda cute, her being batshit insane takes away from her attractiveness."

"Though Yuuki is kinda cute, her being batshit insane takes away from her attractiveness." Wandering through the run-down slum area of Rukongai, Gai finally reached Yuuki's house- a home bought through his collage funds. Though large inside, it possessed very few articles of furniture, it only had the basic requirements for living. Still, that was enough to keep Yuuki satisfied. Though, Gai was sure that there was a torture cellar in the basement, considering Yuuki's nature. A cellar to dispose of all that posed a possible threat to him- such a thought caused Gai to shiver. Knocking on the wooden door, Gai thought to himself, "Alright…This is it. Brace yourself for the worst, Gai Nagareboshi…!" Slowly opening the door, Yuuki Kaburagi appeared surprised to see Gai in front of him. The effeminate young man whose features were almost completely feminine in appearance with wide hips and long legs, as well as multicoloured eyes which were large and droopy asked, "Oh, Gai. What brings you here?" His blonde hair was worn in a bun which spiked up slightly at the top, gently flowing out to the left side, with several strands of hair sticking out at the sides of the bun as sort of waves. Yuuki's general appearance projected an air of tranquility onto Gai; which was rendered null and void by Gai being knowledgeable of the Shinigami's true, nastier personality. Wearing his usual kimono, Yuuki leaned in closer to the Mototsu's face, which caused Gai to inch back. There was a little sweat at Yuuki's eyebrows because of this heat. Gai thought, "Since it's hot, it would have been better if she would just wear a one piece dress. Wearing a white one piece dress while being fluttered by the wind and standing on a plateau, Yuuki Kaburagi. It sure feels refreshing imagining that—Wai, wai, wai, wai, wait. I mustn't forget that she's batshit insane." Gai's eyes scrolled down, noticing that Yuuki was clad in a long, stylish open red dress (known as a Manchurian-Chinese qipao) with a golden dragon design on it. In addition, he wore a garter on the right side of his thigh, and black, thigh high socks with traditional Japanese sandals finishing off his attire. To say that Yuuki was stunning would be an understatement, really, regardless of which gender saw him; they would probably admit that he was extremely beautiful right now. There wasn't a single hair out of place nor a single stain or crease on his clothes. Remember that he had to answer Yuuki, Gai responded, "U-Uh…First, do you mind if I come in? I think that it would be better to explain it inside." Yuuki merely nodded at such a request, hoping that it was something to do with love. Sitting down on a couch, Gai glanced around, observing his surroundings. Unlike the last time he was here, Yuuki's house appeared roomy; as if it was made up specifically for a single person; that person was the one Yuuki wanted to impress. Gai subconsciously knew that he was that person. Brewing a cup of green tea for the Mototsu, Yuuki plonked himself down next to Gai, inching closer to him while wrapping his small, delicate hand around Gai's covered thigh gingerly, smiling at the Mototsu warmly. Yuuki had the urge to throw himself at Gai; letting go of all inhabitations, though he remained stable in case Gai would leave if he did so. Clearing his mind, Gai knew deep down that he would regret what he was about to do. As if polishing feces right in Yuuki's face, Gai slowly stated, "…Alright. Well, you see, I've broken up with Hizashi, and I've realized something. Last night, I had a dream. Maybe it wasn't a dream; it was a flashback-back-back-back-back-back…" There was a pause. After a few moments, Gai became irritated, breaking the fourth wall to ask, "…Wait, why the hell is there no flashback!? I need something to prove my words to be true—er, clarify this for Yuuki. …What's that? Only Nika can see the flashbacks of others? …Damn. Ah, well." Gai continued conveying half-truths to Yuuki, which the Shinigami ate up like a delicious hamburger steak with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, onion, cheese…Meaning, Yuuki subconsciously knew that Gai was only telling a portion of the truth, yet he wanted to believe that it was the truth, and forced himself to believe so. What could possibly happen would be able to destroy any negativity that he was feeling; decimating any doubts he held about this proposition within his heart. "…Well, I think I had a vision of my past. You were there. You looked different, right down to being a girl-" Upon hearing "you being a girl", Yuuki's eyes became much shallower in properties, becoming dull husks of their former selves in unhappiness for a brief moment. "—But what I remember the most, is that that we were together. Living our lives without a care in the world, without any troubles or anything like that. I've realized…That I'd like to try and bring back those times. They were the greatest memories I have, Yuuki." Bouncing off of the couch, Gai got down on a single knee in front of Yuuki, which caused the Shinigami to misinterpret the Mototsu's actions, believing that he was proposing. Such an action caused Yuuki to cover his mouth with his hands in embarrassment and acceptance, turning a bright red. Gai gave the Shinigami a puzzled look, inquiring, "…Huh, What are you so embarrassed about?" Yuuki responded in a nervous stutter, "…I-I do." Sweat trickled down Gai's brow, as he thought to himself worriedly, "W-Wait, does she think I'm proposing to her? …Odd." Declaring out loud, "…Yuuki, let me get this straight. I'm not proposing to—" The Shinigami's lip began to quiver, as tears welled up in his eyes. Such a sight- it was depressing to look at. Even though Yuuki had a certain part which made him different than a girl, he was for all intents and purposes, a girl. And girls were delicate beings, with many little whistles and bells which, if struck at in the wrong way, could cause them to be set off like a raging wildfire at any moment. Not to say that Gai himself was delicate, as he acted like a 'tsundere' at times, but Yuuki was an extremely sensitive and emotional person compared to him. Gritting his teeth before relaxing his facial muscles, letting out an exhausted sigh, Gai uttered, "Tch…Wait, don't cry Yuuki. It pains me whenever someone I care about cries. Let me correct that last thing; if I had a ring, I'd slip it onto your finger. I promise you that." The tears instantly evaporated, as Yuuki meekly asked in a shy tone, "So, you and I are…?" Sighing once again, Gai wondered if being a gentleman to anything that could be remotely considered a woman was a curse or a blessing. On one hand, he and Hizashi had a loving relationship, as they were able to look past their emotional problems to see the good in each other, despite Gai being a 'tsundere' and Hizashi being cold and aloof most of the time. But on the other, he seemed to garner unwanted attention from all around. The main thing that caused him discomfort was that certain people delighted in using the 'hands-on approach' in regards to the Mototsu; of course, such a small, delicate, and extremely beautiful figure didn't help this much at all. "…Ayup." Gai responded, horrified at what he had agreed to. It wasn't some promise of a new life together with a loved one; it was a death wish, plain and simple. It was simple math: Gai plus Yuuki equaled 'Yandere' Yuuki. With that formula in mind, Gai was aware that he was on a crash course to complete obliteration, crashing and burning spectacularly in an impressive display of blood and severed organs, all while a certain devil woman watched from the sidelines, munching upon buttered popcorn with that grin plastered upon her face that gave him to urge to sock her in the face. Before he could further react, Yuuki leaped out of his seat, landing upon the Mototsu with a *THUD!* before contorting his body until he was in Gai's arms. There, he uttered, "Oh, Gai…You've made me so happy. We're going to be together for all eternity." Those words, "for all eternity" were what scared Gai the most. There was no escape from Yuuki Kaburagi's twisted obsession, not even in death.
