abstract	OOM-500 was an OOM command battle droid before and during the Invasion of Naboo. As an OOM command droid, OOM-500 had many abilities that outmatched fellow droid commander OOM-9, who had similar abilities but was not as wise as OOM-500. OOM-500 helped his men succeed in many Naboo invasions. However, he was corrupt and the Occupation Council feared that he would overthrow the Trade Federation. Near the end of the Naboo blockade, OOM-500 was assigned to a terrorist plot to erradicate the Pikachus after the Trade Federation viewed them as a threat to the organization. OOM-500's troops fought the Pikachuians to the death, but a space battle above the planet's surface turned against the Trade Federation after Juksua destroyed the Droid Control Ship. With the Control Ship gone, OOM-500 and his forces all powered down, causing the Trade Federation to retreat from the Pika system.
