  • The Brawl at the Miner's Daughter was a fight in the Miner's Daughter bar on Vedros IV in 109 ABY. It was triggered by Renamo Kemset's assassination of the pirate Kilwyo Kesh. Having recognized the Enemy of the Empire, and frustrated by the refusal of anyone (including himself) to do anything about it, Kemset snuck up behind Kesh and stabbed him three times in the back. As the Synnott pirate bled to death on the floor, his Nightside Raiders gang was initially shocked into immobility. When they rallied, they moved to kill Kemset. However, the assassination of Kesh had galvanized the patrons into action. As a Zyked lunged toward Kemset, the bartender smashed a bottle across the Raider's face, and the bar erupted into a fight. In the ensuing conflict, everyone was wounded, and most of the Raiders and several patrons were killed before law enforcement arrived to apprehend the survivors. The death of Kesh was bad enough for the Nightside Raiders, but two of his lieutenants were among the dead in the subsequent brawl, leaving the organization decapitated. Reeling, it was quickly mopped up by the Royal Navy and the Order of Keltrayu.
