In exchange for these traits, however, the TRAC-5 pays with a low accuracy in both hipfire and aimed fire, as well as a harsh 2 damage tier fall-off, which is generally not found on weapons in the Terran Arsenal. As an introduction to the Terran Republic arsenal, the TRAC-5 does a good job of introducing the general rule of the Terran Republic's guns; a very large magazine size and ammo capacity in exchange for a lower than average accuracy. From here, the player can purchase one of the many sidegrades to specialize, such as the LC2 Lynx to sacrifice further mid to long range accuracy to greatly bolster close quarter abilities.
