In addition to Skywalker and his master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, the four Jedi were joined by Master-Padawan pairs Ry-Gaul Chicri with his apprentice Tru Veld, and Soara Antana with her Padawan Darra Thel-Tanis. During the mission the Masters and Padawans were forced to separate, since there were not enough envirosuits to enable all of the Jedi to investigate an area of Radnor already struck by the toxin, and when that happened, Olin and Skywalker soon clashed over issues of leadership. Despite this, the Padawans managed to work together well enough to continue following clues to discover the motive behind the release of the toxin. While tracing a group of thieving looters who were ransacking the homes of fleeing civilians to steal their valuables, the Padawans began following a trail that led them to discover that the natives of the neighboring planet of Avon were planning to invade Radnor, using an offer of assistance in the evacuation as a smokescreen for a landing of attack droids. The Jedi teams thwarted the invasion, but not without many arguments between Skywalker and Olin over how to do so. At the end of the mission, Olin, distrusting his new rival due to the desire for control he had shown, warned him that he would watch him, further infuriating Skywalker and aggravating the feelings of dislike between the two apprentices even further than before.
