It will mark the eighty-second running of the Monte Carlo Rally, and will be the first round of the 2014 World Rally Championship, WRC-2 and WRC-3 seasons. The rally was won easily by Sebastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia, with Bryan Bouffier scoring his first WRC podium after being a regular contender in WRC-3. Kris Meeke also earned his maiden podium finish, becoming the first Briton on a WRC podium since Richard Burns at the 2003 Rally Australia.
