After years of traveling Samemaru reached the village, and would begin its search, however, she would first encounter Amaka Date, and by the looks of the tool that was on Amaka's back, she was able to conclude that it was one of the seven swords, that she'd heard about before. Samemaru could feel that Amaka had a bit of suspicion, and tempted her. Samemaru would stand at Amaka's front, forcefully launching an attack. Amaka somewhat aware, would be able to protect herself, then later subdue Samemaru leading to its defeat. Clinging firmly to Amaka in its sword form, it jumped right into her hands. Amaka would take the sword as her own, being its first ever wielder.
